Franco De Lama founds De Lama in Pavia. The intuition is that, alongside the re-growth and re-launch of the country for post-war reconstruction, the need of machinery for the pharmaceutical industry will develop. The idea and the strong-will to respond to this need turns out to be the winning one. De Lama is the first Italian company to produce modern industrial sterilizers. The saturated steam sterilizer becomes the top model.
