For some applications, e.g. Large Volume Parenterals, the heating and cooling time of the load is a major issue that can drive the pharmaceutical company’s choice towards a bigger and more expensive autoclave in order to cope with the pace of the filling line. To overcome this issue with subsequent saving on capital investment, utilities consumption and exploiting an environmental friendly construction, De Lama introduced a peculiar concept: steriliser load is positioned onto micro-vibrating leading edge device, adjustable in frequency, which remarkably reduce the heating and cooling phases of load (according to bottle size even in excess of 30% transient phase time reduction), also improving the temperature distribution and possible liquid stratification. This concept is available for whatever type of sterilisation technique such as saturated steam, air mix or superheated water.
